Mechatronics 
Duties: 
  1. Work  in a print manufacturing environment. 
  1. Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates. 
  1. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly or repair. 
  1. Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances. 
  1. Verify mechanical dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. 
  1. Repair of all plant machinery using or designing standard operating procedures. 
  1. Work extended hours in time of need and some weekends not excluding holidays. 
Job Activities: 
  1. Must be able to use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and move materials, manipulating things 50 to 75 pounds. 
  1. Diagnosing, servicing, repairing and adjusting production equipment, that operate on the basis of electrical or non-electronic principles. 
  1. Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form. 
  1. Diagnosing and solving IT problems, such as network issues, software configurations, driver or OS configuration/installation, hardware troubleshooting and repair for production PCs, embedded systems or servers. 
  1. Improving production equipment. 
Skills: 
  1. Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. 
  1. Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. This is a MUST! 
  1. Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools. 
  1. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed when documented maintenance is unavailable. 
  1. Must understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. 
  1. Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. 
Abilities: 
  1. Needs the ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged. 
  1. The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand (S.O.P.’s).
